Decision Inc. establishes UK presence through acquisition of Copperman

Data analytics and consulting firm Decision Inc. has continued the strengthening of its international presence, this time through the acquisition of a majority stake in UK-headquartered SAP specialist consultancy Copperman Consulting. Those with shares in Copperman will convert this into Decision Inc. equity.

Founded in 2013 in Johannesburg, Decision Inc. is a consulting firm that specialises in “transforming data to information.” Based on this principle, the firm offers services in a broad range of domains, including strategy, data management & warehousing and change management, among a number of others.

One key aspect of the firm’s operations is its suite of services in the SAP enterprise resource management (ERM) software – a segment that it has now bolstered through the acquisition of Copperman Consulting. Copperman is a SAP BPC expert, which offers services in design, implementation, as well as support.

Within these broad categories, Copperman offers support with the setting up of hardware, application design & development, performance enhancement, migration of data, in addition to training users and supporting them in their development. The firm is based in Berkshire in the UK.

The acquisition provides Decision Inc. with a local presence in the UK, representing its second international expansion this year. In July this year, the firm’s Australian subsidiary – ABS Systems – announced a merger with a Sydney-based data analytics firm by the name of Satsumas. 

Shareholders at Copperman will convert their holdings to Decision Inc. equity. As explained by CEO of Decision Inc. Nick Bell, “We believe that this structure is the best way to cement our relationship with Copperman and to ensure that we build a strong and focused business for our staff, shareholders and clients.”
