Lohini Moodley and Mark Evans join Oliver Wyman’s Johannesburg leadership team

Global strategy and management consulting firm Oliver Wyman has strengthened its leadership team in Johannesburg with two new Partners: Lohini Moodley and Mark Evans.
Lohini Moodley is a partner in the Communications, Media and Technology practice. Her experience spans diverse sectors, from IT modernization and growth strategies for major telecom operators in South Africa to projects in mining, power, transport, and logistics.
With more than 20 years of consulting experience across Africa, Moodley leverages her deep expertise in telecommunications to lead impactful, large-scale transformations. She also leads critical societal challenges, such as advancing digital literacy and affordable access to technology across the continent.
Prior to joining Oliver Wyman, she was an independent consultant for a while, before that spending two years at Accenture as a Managing Director, and over 16 years at McKinsey & Company, latterly in the role of Partner.
Mark Evans brings more than two decades of strategic consulting experience to the firm, having previously served Partners in Performance and Boston Consulting Group, among others. A Partner in the Energy and Natural Resources practice, he specializes in helping clients navigate complex operational and organizational challenges in the mining and heavy industry sectors.
His on-the-ground track record spans over a dozen African countries, including South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Ghana, and further afield, where he worked on large-scale transformations and operational improvements.
Evans’ work is underscored by a lifelong passion and commitment to driving diversity and inclusion, which began as an activist in apartheid South Africa and continued throughout his career. He holds several leadership roles to increase the representation of women and the LGBTQ+ community in the workplace.
“We welcome Lohini and Mark tour partnership,” said Paul Calvey, Partner at Oliver Wyman in South Africa. “Their expertise strengthens our expanding presence in South Africa and the region and bolsters our Communications, Media, and Technology and Energy and Natural Resources practices, at an exciting time for South Africa.”
