Accenture names Kgomotso Lebele as Country Managing Director for South Africa

Global consulting and technology firm Accenture has appointed Kgomotso Lebele as its new Country Managing Director for South Africa. He steps into the shoes of Vukani Mngxati.

Kgomotso Lebele brings more than two decades of consulting experience to the position – all of which he gained at Accenture. He joined the consulting firm in 2004 and grew the ranks within its consulting and technology business, with a focus on digital transformation, operational excellence and digital driven-reinvention.

Lebele’s track record includes leading and working on projects in the public sector, mining, utilities, consumer goods, and financial services industries.

Prior to stepping up, Lebele was a Managing Director and Resources Lead, overseeing the firm’s client portfolio covering mining, energy, chemical and utilities.

In his new role, Lebele oversees the overall strategic direction, operations, and growth of Accenture in South Africa, driving business development, client relationships, talent management, and delivery excellence while ensuring alignment with global objectives. He leads a team of around 1,900 people, working across offices in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
