South African digital innovation consultancy iShack has undergone a makeover, complete with the revamping of its website and the enhancement of its product and solutions offerings. The firm will now focus on using digital marketing techniques to support growth and expansion strategies.

Based out of Gauteng, iShack Innovation Consultancy was founded in 2005 by two South African data and digital professionals, namely Wayne Berger and Richard Bensted. The firm provides advisory services for clients in South Africa and across the world on the digital domain, spanning advertising and software development.

Wayne Berger is an entrepreneur in the technology sphere, who holds an MBA from IE Business School and has a professional background in the real estate sector. At iShack Innovation, Berger holds the position of Chairman, while also holding the position of Managing Director at sister firm iShack Ventures.

Richard Bensted is a digital consultancy expert, and has worked with a range of clients from Disney to Warner Brothers, offering services in search engine optimisation and social media strategy. Bensted is the Chief Operating Officer at iShack Innovation.

After 13 years in service, the duo has decided to step up its profile, having undergone a complete transformation for its innovation practice. The new specific areas of focus for the firm are online marketing and innovative engineering. The former includes marketing advisory services for the online domain, search engine optimisation, and advertising on social media and Google.

The latter will include the development of digital applications, designed to serve customised needs, as well as the use of artificial intelligence technology. In addition, the innovative engineering segment will offer solutions in globally relevant tech domains, including Blockchain technology, exponential technology, and even enterprise software engineering.
