In order to further its customer relationship management (CRM) capabilities, as well as extend its scope of operations, South African Microsoft Certified Partner firm Mint Management Technologies has acquired a strategic stake in CRM solutions firm LiquidCRM. The acquisition builds on a 15-year partnership between the two firms.

Founded in 1999, Mint Management Technologies is a technology solutions firm that specialises in internal transformations, prioritising efficiency and accuracy. The firm’s list of certifications lends it huge credibility, most prominently featuring the status of Microsoft Gold Partner, which indicates technical excellence and a strong partnership with the global tech giant.

Perhaps the most important certification that the firm has received is ISO 27001:2005, which signifies its compliance with global guidelines on information security. Mint’s Information Security Management System, which processes both internal and external data, also matches the highest international standards. At a social level, the firm is also B-BBEE compliant, placing it amongst a handful of exceptionally diverse firms across South Africa.

In terms of services, Mint operates in three domains, each through a platform specifically designed for solutions in the field. For its ‘Smart Systems’ services, the firm makes use of the Cloud Applications & Management (CAM) practice, which is designed around the modernisation of processes.

Similarly, for employee engagement, the firm relies on an explicitly defined process of data storage called Enterprise Content Management (ECM). Lastly, one of the more crucial Mint offerings are solutions in customer-centricity — wherein it makes use of the globally-recognised customer relationship management (CRM) approach, popularised by Salesforce.

This last segment is the one that Mint has now bolstered through the acquisition of  a stake in Liquid CRM — a Cape-Town-based firm that offers support in every stage of Microsoft Dynamics CRM — including installation, configuration, data migration, integration, customisation, and even training.

Dynamics CRM is a package developed by Microsoft at the server-client interface, and is the CRM software of choice for Mint and LiquidCRM. Both firms have been operating as partners for 15 years, and have developed similar cultural and professional priorities — which will significantly accelerate the integration of LiquidCRM’s operations into those of Mint.

Naturally aligned

Alongside the common culture, Mint hopes to benefit from LiquidCRM’s wide roster of clients spread across the region, and its internal diversity of operations. LiquidCRM, on the other hand, will benefit from the more sophisticated infrastructure prevalent in Mint.

LiquidCRM Director Andr’e Wissler commented, "Both Mint and Liquid CRM share an aggressive growth mindset. By combining forces, we can leverage off each other's skills and experience, and accelerate our joint growth strategies to cement our positions as leaders in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner space.”

Chairman of Mint Trevor Ahier added, “With a significant share of the financial services industry, Mint Group has been recognised by Microsoft as a top 1% Dynamics partner, and the the addition of Liquid CRM, which comprises an impressive portfolio of clients in the financial services industry such as Momentum and Sanlam, further strengthens this stance.”
