Having expanded its operations through a strategic acquisition in recent months, Cape-Town-based digital media consultancy Hoorah has now expanded its operations to reach Johannesburg with the establishment of a new office there. The office is home to twelve Hoorah professionals so far.

Hoorah has an expanding base of clients in Johannesburg, and has decided to consolidate its business in the city by establishing a local operation. The firm is currently involved in a digital overhaul of Nedbank in collaboration with The Odd Number. Having an office in Johannesburg allows the firm easier access to this project as well.

The firm was founded only earlier this year and has already been going from stride to stride, landing a number of high-profile clients, including award-winning travel agency Flight Centre and pharmaceutical expert Sanofi – which incorporates a number of other high-profile brands such as Essentiale, Pharmaton and Pharmachoice.

In July, the firm acquired Durban-based digital services firm Tenzing Agency, which enhanced the firm’s ecommerce offering. In addition, the firm also offers services in data collection and analysis, which is summed up in its tag line – ‘brand results through data.’ The new office will be operated by CEO at Hoorah Digital Shaune Jordaan, in collaboration with the Head of Media for the firm Tasmin Kingma.

Commenting on the expansion, co-founder at Hoorah and Chief Security Officer Jay Thomson said, “Most of our clients signed up after we conducted a media audit and workshop with them, The challenge for internal marketing teams is bigger than ever. Once we’ve shown them how they can improve their performance while reducing spend, they’re eager to bring us onboard.”

Kingma said, “Technology has completely changed the way branding works. Things like Double Click Integration are now key. The way we use these media technologies at Hoorah allows brands to achieve the kind of results digital marketing always promised.”

Jordaan added, “It’s a fresh, focused approach. Traditionally, companies rely on third-party agencies for the customer data that dictates their marketing approach. By helping companies build internal teams, we give them back control of their data.”
