HKLM Branding renames the South Africa-Nigeria Chamber of Commerce

The South Africa-Nigeria Chamber of Commerce will now be known as the South Africa – Nigeria Business Chamber (SA-NBC), which is one among many comprehensive branding changes that have been recommended by Johannesburg-based design and marketing consultancy HKLM Branding.

The firm is currently working on a complete revamp of the SA-NBC’s profile, in order to take the collaborative organisation into a new era of economic collaboration. The SA-NBC is a non-profit membership entity that is privately financed and was established to enhance trade between South Africa and Nigeria.

As markets across Africa become increasingly central parts of the global economy due to their varying and unique value propositions, South Africa and Nigeria are being touted as the drivers of this economic rise of the region. The two countries are the largest two GDPs on the continent, and have economic ties across the region.

As they look to collaboratively ring in this new era of economic progress in the international context, the SA-NBC is looking to bring its profile up to global standards of competitiveness. Attracting foreign investment is set to be a crucial aspect of future economic growth, and being globally competitive is essential for this scenario. 

To drive this transformation, the entity has appointed HKLM Branding, which has changed its name among other efforts to rebrand its image. HKLM was founded in 2003 andoffers a wide variety of services across the South African market, which span the communications, marketing, branding and design domains.

Specifically, the firm supports clients with investor relations, annual reports, brand activation, environmental design & project management, and a number of other strategically important aspects. The firm’s objective vis-à-vis the SA-NBC has been to make it a more flexible and exciting organisation.

“The name change appropriately places greater emphasis on the chamber's outbound orientation toward the Nigerian market. The rebrand has shifted the SA-NBC towards a more progressive looking organisation, and successfully re-calibrated the chamber as it looks to the future,” explained Sean McCoy, Founder & Director at HKLM.
