Irish group Saros Consulting expands into South African market

South Africa’s IT consulting and project management sector has welcomed a new player: Saros Consulting, an Ireland-headquartered group.

Established in Dublin in 2016, Saros Consulting partners with organizations to deliver complex, business-critical technology programs. The consulting firm combines specialized expertise in IT and project management with a vendor-agnostic approach to help clients implement solutions such as ERP, cloud, CRM, process automation, and artificial intelligence.

Following earlier expansions into the UK, Switzerland, and the US, Saros Consulting has now entered Africa, selecting Cape Town as its regional hub. The South African office will lead projects across the continent and serve as a delivery hub for operations spanning Europe and the UK.

Justin van der Spuy, co-founder and co-CEO, explained why South Africa was chosen: “The quality of technical talent emerging from South African universities, coupled with the country’s mature IT services sector, makes it an ideal location for our first African hub.”

“With this investment in Cape Town, we are strengthening our ability to deliver flexible, remote-first services to enterprises across multiple regions. It represents our confidence in the future of distributed work and our commitment to building a truly borderless consulting practice,” added Ray Armstrong, co-founder and co-CEO of Saros Consulting.

The South African hub was launched with the support of Enterprise Ireland, which is also assisting the firm in developing new growth opportunities in other international markets as part of a two-year expansion plan.
