Pretoria-based tech consultancy Matsei Technologies & Consulting will now be in charge of delivering IFS business solutions to its African clients, as part of IFS’ international Partner Network. Personnel at Matsei will be provided with official certification from the IFS Academy.

IFS is a Swedish enterprise software company that delivers solutions in the enterprise resource panning (ERP) and enterprise asset management (EAM) domains. Aside from Sweden, the firm has development centres in Sri Lanka, Poland and North America, and delivers its solutions across the world.

The firm’s solutions incorporate models of agile operations, asset integrity management, project control and traceability. In addition to its ERP and EAM solutions, the firm also offers support in the enterprise service management (ESM) domain, which incorporates field service management, reverse logistics and depot repair services.

To deliver its solutions, IFS relies on its expansive global team of approximately 3,500 employees, in addition to an international ecosystem of delivery partners. The firm caters primarily to the manufacturing sector, and selects firms active in the IT services and technology consulting space to help integrate its products.

The latest of these partners is South African firm Matsei Technoloigies & Consulting – a black-owned consulting firm that offers IT solutions to a variety of sectors, including the ICT, defence & aerospace, agriculture and health informatics domains. The firm has extensive experience in implementing ERP and EAM systems for its clients.

Alongside this prior experience, an added benefit of partnering with Matsei is that its ownership structure makes it entirely B-BBEE compliant, thereby simplifying its business environment. The move comes at a time when an increasing number of South African firms are embracing technological integration.

Commenting on the partnership, COO at Matsei Bertus van Niekerk said, “We are excited by the potential to take the IFS solution to large African organisations that face an urgent need to streamline their operations and address complex asset and operational management requirements. IFS is a top-tier ERP, operational intelligence and asset management solution that can help the most complex organisations to achieve optimal performance.”

Country Manager & MD for IFS South Africa Mohamed Cassoojee added, “Matsei has an impressive track record in the South African government as well as a deep pool of experience and skills in some of the key vertical markets we are targeting for growth. Together, we are well placed to help African organisations enable business success and drive Digital Transformation.”
