Following strong performances in its role as a part of the Amazon Partner Network (APN), Johannesburg-based IT consultancy EOH has been elevated to the much-coveted status of Advanced Consulting Partner (ACP) by global IT giant Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Digital services – particularly in the cloud-computing domain – are growing in prominence in the South African market. Where larger businesses in South Africa have been riding the wave of digitalisation since shortly after its inception, small and medium enterprises have only recently come to embrace new technology.

AWS is Amazon’s stronghold in the cloud computing market worldwide, dividing its broad suite of services into two primary verticals, training and education in the cloud-computing domain alongside a number of products and services to improve the overall cloud experience for its users.

Services offered by AWS span nearly every industry 4.0 domain, including analytics, blockchain, Internet of Things, machine learning and a number of others. Amazon implements these solutions worldwide through its APN, a global network of partner firms that offer growth support on the cloud domain.

EOH awarded Advanced Consulting Partner status by Amazon Web Services

EOH is among cloud services firms worldwide that are part of the APN. The firm was founded in 1998 in Johannesburg and offers IT consulting services to firms across all sectors. EOH offers end-to-end support, and possesses special expertise in the cloud-computing domain, which is endorsed by some of its previous clients.

“EOH designed and architected exactly what the AWS environment needed to be to meet our needs. They understood our requirements, and provided added value throughout the project. The AWS system does exactly what it was supposed to do, and has allowed up to operate on a true cloud platform with all the necessary scalability and elasticity we need,” said an executive at one of EOH’s client firms.

It is this positive feedback that has now earned EOH the ACP status, positioning it among the first few firms in South Africa to have been awarded the status. The partnership will enhance EOH’s capabilities to offer solutions, given their increase in prominence and the consequent increase in resources deployed.

Richard Vester, Group Executive for EOH’s Cloud Division said, “Advanced Consulting status is awarded to partners who have the experience of helping numerous customers successfully achieve their goals in their AWS deployments. From standard deployments, to extensive migrations of specific workloads and environments, we have helped customers get the most out of their move to AWS,”
