TELUS Digital expands into South Africa with new office in Cape Town

TELUS Digital, a Canadian technology company specialising in digital customer experiences, has expanded into South Africa – establishing its first base on the African continent.

The opening of its new office in Cape Town means TELUS Digital now operates in 31 countries across five continents.

Jeff Puritt, President and CEO of TELUS Digital, said the expansion into South Africa aligns with the company’s strategy to build delivery hubs in major global outsourcing destinations. Cape Town was selected as an ideal location due to its strong base of highly skilled, multilingual talent.

In addition, South Africa’s favourable time zone supports service delivery to clients across Europe and North America, while the country’s robust broadband infrastructure further enhances its appeal as a strategic hub.

Headquartered in Vancouver, TELUS Digital has more than 75,000 people worldwide. In the coming years, the company aims to build a workforce of over 1,000 staff in Cape Town.
