PKF International expands its presence in South Africa
PKF International has announced an expansion in South Africa with Rademeyer Wesson Chartered Accountants. The addition strengthens PKF’s presence in the region and re-establishes its presence in Cape Town, adding a staff of 80 to its network. For Rademeyer Wesson Chartered Accountants, the move will offer its clients both a national as well as global footprint.
With approximately 440 offices in 150 countries across 5 continents, PKF is one of the globe's largest accounting and advisory networks. The professional services network was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in the United Kingdom.
African expansion
As part of its African expansion plan, PKF International recently added Rademeyer Wesson Chartered Accountants as a member firm in Cape Town, strengthening its presence in South Africa. Rademeyer Wesson Chartered Accountants is a 1994-founded professional services firm, offering its clients assurance, tax and advisory services. The firm is based in the Tyger Valley, Cape Town, and has a total staff of approximately 80, of which six are partners. As part of the move, the firm will be rebranded as PKF Rademeyer Wesson as of 1 July 2015.
Commenting on the move, Derick Wesson, Chairman and Managing Partner of Rademeyer Wesson Chartered Accountants, says: “We sought both a strong brand and the best match to our own culture, centred around people, values and independence. PKF is a respected and widely recognised brand in global accountancy. In today’s business environment and in the light of changes to auditing, it has become essential to offer clients a national and global footprint. PKF is a great fit for us.”
“We are really pleased to welcome Rademeyer Wesson to the network as we continue to expand and strengthen the PKF brand. Rademeyer Wesson fits well with our value proposition of Quality with Integrity, and this addition re-establishes our national footprint in all South Africa's key commercial centres,” adds John Sim, CEO of PKF International.
